The Client Experience
What can I expect?
Our goal is to help you, our client, make smarter decisions about your money, which enables you to accomplish your important personal and financial goals.
We support financial order in our client's homes and help facilitate its maintenance. We pride ourselves in helping clients reach their goals while building strong lifelong professional relationships. We believe that we have the resources to make a positive and measurable difference in our client's lives.
As a Meehan Financial client, you can expect to always be treated with respect. When you call our Woburn office, you can speak to a real person, who will answer any questions you have as you go through our unique implementation process and beyond.
What happens in the initial meeting?
We develop a strategy involving all relative financial professionals including respective lawyers, accountants, insurance and investment professionals. We hold everyone involved accountable, including you.
Our relationship begins with an initial meeting to evaluate what is important to you. This first meeting is complimentary, giving each of us the opportunity to determine if we will work well together in the achievement of your goals.
Prior to the meeting you'll receive a Fact Finding Packet, which includes a list of important financial documents to bring to the meeting and/or send beforehand, so that Michael is better prepared to learn what your financial goals, concerns and needs are.
How will I be charged?
A fee will be charged based on a percentage of your assets under management with us, only if we agree to conduct business. This fee would be outlined and agreed upon in the client/advisor Investment Advisory Agreement.
What is delivered to me for this fee?
We will provide a comprehensive and complete financial service implementation plan that involves an annual checklist of over 50 checkpoints. We have a team in place to ensure that:
- You have a well-diversified portfolio, based on your risk tolerance. We minimize risk in the portfolio, while still maximizing your gains.
- Your insurance needs are reviewed annually and revised as needed. These reviews include life, disability, long-term care and property/casualty insurance. We assess yearly to make sure that your insurance plan is most competitive in the market place and there are no gaps in your coverage.
- There are ongoing communications with your Certified Public Accountant to confirm your tax effectiveness is being maximized.
- There is a plan in place that accounts for what happns to your assets if and when you are gone, and a clearly defined plan to manage your assets if you are unable or unwilling.
- We work diligently with your estate planning attorney to make sure all assets are properly set-up to flow to heirs in the most tax-efficient and timely manner.
Clients have a written financial plan to keep them on track, to make sure nothing falls through the cracks, and to make sure that your plan is aligned with current or future goals.
Who are the clients that we serve best?
We work with a broad range of clients. Generally speaking, we work with corporate executives and business owners in the local area who have a passion for reaching their goals. Most of our clients are over the age of 50, have achieved financial success, are financially growing or are in their retirement years.
What is the process to become a client?
The first step is to schedule an initial complimentary meeting with Michael, and to complete our Client Risk Tolerance Questionnaire and a list of important documents to bring to the initial meeting, so he is better prepared to learn what your financial goals, concerns and needs are.
